Huacaya Herdsire (Male) True Black

AOA# 36044207 DOB: 7/16/20215 yrs
Darling's first cria sired by Chicago. Chicago's Storm will be exciting to watch. I just love this young male. Storm has a very desirable phenotype and wonderful fine fleece with a great hand. Be sure to check his fiber stats. He has done well in the show ring amidst some very tough competition. I expect his fleece to continue to improve as he matures. We're really impressed with his density and uniformity of micron. Chicago's Storm is part of the black herd that we co-own with Little Cr ...

Rosaleen with Storm Warning birthday
Oh my Dark Rosaleen! She is a beautiful, upright, substantial true black female with commanding presence. Both her sire and dam are true black, giving her strong, consistent color genetics. Her dam is a Man in Black daughter, and her sire is an Accoyo Michelangelo son, combining two highly respected black bloodlines. Details
Arriving just after a morning of wild weather, this handsome boy made his debut shortly after a severe thunderstorm warning had rolled through—complete with tornado touchdowns an hour east of us. As the skies calmed, he was born safely around 9 a.m. to his maiden dam, Roseleen, with both of them settling comfortably into the barn on day two of an intense heat wave.

Sired by Cinco C’s Chicago’s Storm, he initially appeared jet black, but the heat and humidity made drying off a slow process. As his fleece revealed itself, we were delighted—and a bit surprised—to discover a rich dark rose grey. With two true-black parents, the color seemed unexpected, but a champion classic rose grey grandfather clearly had a say in the matter!

Adding to his uniqueness, this little fellow sports two different eye colors—one warm brown and the other a striking blue—giving him an extra dose of personality to match his looks.

And personality he has! He’s a curious, friendly youngster who is always the first to come over and say hello. My grandmother would have called him “precocious.” His adorably furry, “frosted” ears only add to the charm. We’re eager to watch how his color develops as his cria clip grows out.

At 14 weeks he’s already tipped the scale at 60 pounds, filling out quickly and thriving—so much so that we’ll likely be weaning him soon, as the girls are starting to tire of his playful antics.

Cria clipped 7/9/25.
Watch for this eye-catching young male at the Harrisburg shows in April 2026!
